could you let us know how you have done it with a code sample? – Mohammed Shameem Jan 19 '13 at 5:57
Where did you tried it ? in which tpl ? – niksmac Jan 19 '13 at 7:17
have done in frot page tpl also added in page.tpl – Vox Jan 20 '13 at 6:23

I have been able to solve it. I ddes the first part of code in front-page.tpl and page.tpl file just before . Further specific ad slots were added by using blocks where I created individual blocks to add google tag manager code.

No need to install google ad manager module.
