Drupal Import Commerce Product Display Multiple Images With Feed?

So... I have been attempting to import a list of products from a D6 site into Commerce Kickstart 2.6 and at every turn it's fraught.

My latest attempt has been to a) Use Node Export to get a CSV of products from old site. Good.

b) Import using Commerce Product Feeds, first to get the Product and then again to get the Display (nodes). Three problems:

How does one map the 'images' field in the CSV? The CSV I'm importing has a path to the JPG file for each product in the folder where the images can be found. Eg.

  /sites/default/products/myproduct.jpg

Two issues:

  1. How does one mapThis works for -one- image, but not if the 'images' field inproduct has multiple images. I tried mapping the CSV? The CSV I'm importing has a columns for each image path to the JPG file for each product'Images' field in the folder where the images can be found. This doesimporter multiple times but this did not work. Eg.Again, only the 1st image imported

  2. /sites/default/products/myproduct I can't figure out how to add the ALT tag to each product.jpg

I made sure I have the same folder structure on the new server. Any suggestion?

The puzzling thing for me is that there is an Images field on the Product importer, but -not- on the Product Display importer, which seems backwards. Since the images for each product are stored in the -Display-, shouldn't they be available as import fields on the Display?

AlsoSo: should each image be simple strings or is there some other data format (eg. array)? What if the Product Display has -several- images?

  1. This imports the -product- but not the -display-. So the product appears 'missing'. You have to go into the /admin/commerce/products/variations and then hand-edit =each= product to get a product display. Is there a way to automatically create the 'display' during the feed import?

  2. How does one map the 'images' field in the CSV? The CSV has a path to the JPG file for each product in the folder where the images can be found. This does not work. Any suggestion?

  3. I can't figure out how to map the other fields in the product variations to the CSV columns. Any advice on how to do this would be MUCH appreciated.
