I have tried Apache Solr Autocomplete to make autocomplete option in solr search. But it is not work for me. Is there any other alternative to do this???

And also I need to know, how to add custom field to be indexed in solr. I have tried hook_apachesolr_index_document_build_node and my_module_apachesolr_query_prepare in my custom module. But when I put this the index is not added to solr.`
