I've been trying to figure this out. This is sooo basic and I feel like an idiot. I've created content type homepage and I've created node-homepage.tpl.php but the template doesn't seem to overriding when I cleared the cache about 10 times. I am also trying to display a view in this custom template file. Thank you for your help in advance.

I've created a "homepage" content type, and I've created the node-homepage.tpl.php template file, but it doesn't seem it is used, even after I cleared the cache about 10 times.
