I use the Feed Aggregator to create this list of titles and snippets of articles from The Economist. http://www.smagula.org/?q=aggregator/sources/1

I would like to be able to search for a term like "Morality and the brain" and see the recent Economist article appear in the results.

I have dug around on Drupal.org, and have found several others who are seeking the answer to this question here http://drupal.org/node/872686, but no answers or hints.

Is it just a matter of configuring the script which indexes content to go to the right directory? If so, where would I find that script?

The core aggregator module doesn't implement hook_update_index(), so your options here are to either do a bit of coding in a custom module to expose the contents of the aggregated feeds to the search module, or, to use the Feeds module.

I would recommend using the Feeds module, as this allows you to store imported feeds as nodes, which are then automatically included in the search index.

it's already answered here: https://www.drupal.org/node/72885 The provided solution works pretty fine, but only for authenticated users; anonymous users get a "Access Denied" error.
