I cannot add new or edit existing content types. This is a drupal 7 site. I keep getting the error:

The website encountered an unexpected error. Please try again later.

The log returns:

TYPE php

EntityMetadataWrapperException: Invalid data value given. Be sure it matches the required data type and format. in EntityDrupalWrapper->set() (line 737 of /home/example/public_html/sites/all/modules/entity/includes/entity.wrapper.inc). SEVERITY error

Can someone please help? I'm kinda stuck!

The site has been live over a year. All the modules are up to date.

  • It's been awhile since I have had to. Probably 10 months. It was a pretty static site. Adding a shopping cart. I didn't even think to check before I started as in 3 years of drupal development - never had this happen! – April Wells Rosequist Jun 5 '16 at 20:17

It ended up being an issue with the modules and the version of drupal I was running. I was unable to fix and had to recreate the entire site.
