I need to stop some CSS files from being aggregated and according to some answers e.g. How do I tell Drupal not to aggregate my css file loading the file from a different domain will stop it from being aggregated.

Now I use the domain module to place content in different domains working from the same installation. Will placing the CSS files excluded from aggregation in a separate domain stop them being aggregated?

Yes. It is assumed that files from another domain are not managed by the site and are there for appropriate for aggregation. – LittleCoding Aug 31 '18 at 14:12
