In Drupal 8, I'm trying to figure out how to use contextual filters in Views to make the following view.

I have two taxonomy vocabularies.

Fruits

  • Apples
  • Oranges
  • Grapes

Info

  • Where they were grown (growing_location)
  • Farmer's name (farmer_name)
  • Color (color)

Now, I want to create a view that lets me set up the URLs like this:

  • www.example.com/apples/farmer_name
  • www.example.com/pears/farmer_name

And I want both terms in the URL to be available in the view. The goal is to use the text field rewriting capability in views to create a bunch of different landing pages.

What I tried

I tried giving a view page a path like /landingpages/%/% and then adding two contextual filters for the Term ID, but I'm not getting any results returned when I test with the term IDs manually.

  • How are you testing the contextual filters? What do you enter into the Preview? Your URI have term names, but you're using term IDs? Can you add your contextual filter settings to the question? – prkos Jan 21 at 21:58
