My site email is site@bla.com. When mails are sent, the header is:

Return-Path: <site@bla.com>
Sender: site@bla.com

So mails reaching the user says from = "site@bla.com"... instead of from = "Site". So I need outgoing mails to say:

From: Site <site@bla.com>

I think it's completely skipping "from". How do I fix this?

  • Drupal will normally set the From header to "Site Name <site address>" just like you want. (The return path and sender is without site name.) The reason site name is missing can be many and you provide very little information so it's impossible to help you further. Most likely this is a server issue. – hansfn May 2 at 13:01
