I need to create a simple restaurant table booking system in an existing Drupal Commerce solution.

I need to be able to book up to 10 seats (just one sitting per day to start with). I have got this far by creating a custom line type and adding a date field to the line_item, which is fine. Now I need to present availability within the UI and also a rule based check to make sure I don't over sell.

The other requirement is be able of adding in "blacklist" dates, for example days that are known to be full or days off. I have seen mention of this combination of modules:

Is this the right way to go for a repeating event that needs to be added to an anonymous cart session and then bought?
