I have migrated a site from 7.4.3 to 8.7.10. I see all contents are migrated. I can see the content on editor. However when I access the content from browser via /node/node_id or /url_alias it does not work.

However the same works for new content. Is this a known issue? Any guidance or pointer?

  • Migrated how? Migrate API will not preserve node IDs, and I don't think it will preserve URL aliases unless you specifically write your migration ymls to do so. – stevekeiretsu Mar 25 at 17:30
  • I see.. Then what would be better way of migrating the contents? Do I need to recreate all the contents manually after the migration? – Chandra S Guin Mar 26 at 19:54
  • No, migrate is a good approach, I just mean you can't expect the nodes to appear at the same /node/node_id because node ids are arbitrary. You should be able to populate the friendly path aliases during migration. However, revisiting this today, I wonder if I misinterpreted you yesterday. Perhaps you did not expect the same node ids, you simply find you can't access the node at all, in which case I wonder if your migration set their published status field to true? – stevekeiretsu Mar 26 at 22:15
