Edit: This is a duplicate of Maximum on date field and Views aggregation issue.

I've made a view using aggregation on a date field (revision created date). I want to show the minimum date for a group of rows. But when I do this it changes to an integer field.

This is what the field widget looks like before applying the MIN aggregation function:

And this is what it looks like afterwards:

The only thing I've found online is this which suggests the problem was fixed 9 years ago! https://www.drupal.org/project/views/issues/1110706 What could I be doing wrong? Ta.

  • What is your Aggregation settings for that field? If it's not Group results together, I would try that. The reason the formatter has converted from date to integer is that aggregation is often used for calculating the number or sum of fields. I suspect that your Aggregation settings for this field are trying to apply a calculation, such as sum or count. – Beau May 6 at 16:18
