On my Drupal 9 site, I have an "Article" content type with a taxonomy reference field_tags.
This field is configured so that the user can choose the appropriate term from a drop-down list. In this vocabulary I have terms and child terms.
Here's what I'm looking to do:
- term1
- term 2
- term 3
- term 4
- term 5
If the content creator selects term 4, I want term 2 and term 4 to be referenced.
How do I add the parent terms of a taxonomy term?
I couldn't find a contributed module to do this. The writer should select the category from the drop-down list and the parent terms should be added automatically.
I tested the Taxonomy Term Reference Tree Widget module. Unfortunately it does not suit me.
- The editor must select only one term.
- Parent terms should be added automatically and should not be unselectable.
- A node must only belong to a child term. It should not be only with the terms "Culture geek", "On se déconfine", "Consommer local" or "La communauté".
I just want a drop-down where it is possible to select a single taxonomy term and have the parents added automatically. If I change my term, the parents need to be updated.
