I am using Drupal 7 and apache solr for one of my sites. I am using tomcat with apache solr to search the contents in my site. For testing purpose i use http://localhost:8080/solr to connect to the solr server. But i would like to change this to http://development.site:8080/solr. I have no big exposure to apache solr. It would be helpfull if some one can guide me.

Thanks.

you can configure your Solr Server under the following URL:

http://my.drupal-domain.com/admin/config/search/search_api/server/apache_solr/edit

  • That wont work unless he changes the configuration of Solr to listen on the new domain name 1st, that only alters where Drupal sends the search requests. @Slasengger you want to look in the configuration XML files of Solor, like $CATALINA_HOME/conf/server.xml and change localhost to yoursite.dev ... I'm not 100% which xml configuration file you want I dont have Solr installed, and I dont know if you're using Tomcat, Jetty, Apache with a java connector ... – tenken Jul 5 '12 at 15:05
