For example, on one of my pages, I see the following template suggestions when I enable Theme Developer module.

enter image description here

I have already included page template files as per the suggestion names, but they are still not being picked up. No idea why!! I have cleared all cache several times.

Any hints on how i can debug this will be helpful....

I always see only page.tpl.php only being called. (this is D6)

  • Are you using a base theme? – Chris Rockwell Jul 13 '13 at 21:18
  • I am using marinelli theme - but I have edited it. Any reason you ask that? – drupalmav Jul 13 '13 at 21:37
  • I have seen some issues with Omega looking in the base theme, but I haven't filed a bug yet. Are you using a separate admin theme? If so, can you logout and see the correct template in use? – Chris Rockwell Jul 14 '13 at 0:47

make sure you don't have an errant page.tpl.php file sitting in a different directory under your theme. if you do, and drupal finds that template before the page.tpl.php listed above, it won't continue to look for any other templates based off of it that aren't in that first directory. – Jimajamma Jul 14 '13 at 2:46
