So I have a JSON feed coming from a provider that I'd like to turn into a node type for D7. Within this feed we have a lot of common things like Bios, Names, Pictures, stats, etc. This feed can change on a regular basis where fields may have one set of information one day, but a completely new set the next.

Having said that, I'd like to come up with a solution where the JSON feed is mapped to a content type and can also allow for nodes to be updated if they are changed on the JSON feed in the future. What is the best method for something like this and are there any working solutions out there to get me started? Thanks!

I suppose you are looking for the Feeds JSON Parser module which can allow you to import dynamic feeds on a periodic basis and map them to a content type.

Here are a few examples as well as to how to use it

Do you have anything to uniquely identify each item..? Also see if this helps Feeds Module

  • Yes, each person has an ID attached to it. – doodirock Dec 31 '13 at 16:54
