I did some research and looked into Panels 3 code so far I don't see any nojs fallbacks. You can also check if there are fallbacks when you try to disable Javascript in the browser. This may not be the answer on how to disable Panels modals but you may increase PHP, MySQL and or Apache settings and increase memory to your local host.

The standard $ alias is not used in Drupal 7, to provide the best possible support for no-conflict jQuery. You need to wrap your code in a closure like so: (function($) { // Add code using $ as an alias for jQuery here... })(jQuery); See Managing Javascript in Drupal 7 for complete examples and explanations.

inizio's answer is very helpful, I found one other solution (which is the one that made sense in my context in the end). Add a class of overlay-exclude to the anchor tag: <a class="overlay-exclude" href="/node/add/page">Create New Page</a>

Hope this will help you. In Drupal 7 you can achive this by using hook_admin_paths_alter Programatically hook_admin_paths_alter : Redefine administrative paths defined by other modules. function HOOK_admin_paths_alter(&$paths) { //return FALSE to the path where you don't want to show in OVERLAY $paths['node/*/edit'] = FALSE; $paths['...

If I need to display webform in popup, then I would use ctools modal. You can use modal forms module which make use of the modal feature in the ctools module to open some common forms in a modal window. Supported forms Log in (modal_forms/nojs/login) Request new password (modal_forms/nojs/password) Create new account (modal_forms/nojs/register) Contact (...

you can enable webforms as a block --> select the webform content you created, tab "Webform" > "Form Settings" > "Enable as a block" put the block inside a region, I've put mine in the footer region CSS style the footer webform block as "display: none;" for colorbox: in "configuration", "Media", "Colorbox" --> advanced settings, activate "Enable Colorbox ...

You cannot pass a URL fragment into drupal_goto() like that or it will get escaped and won't work properly. From the drupal_goto() docs it says the second parameter is an array of $options that get sent through to the url() function. Looking at the url() function docs shows that one of the allowed $options is: 'fragment': A fragment identifier (named ...

If you want to implement this function for a particular content type, so that all nodes of that content type opens in the administrative overlay, you can use the following code: <?php /* * Implements hook_admin_paths_alter(). */ function YOUR_MODULE_admin_paths_alter(&$paths) { $query = new EntityFieldQuery(); $query->entityCondition('...

The easiest way would be to use the http://drupal.org/project/admin_menu module. It has an option to move the tabs into the admin menu bar. Set it by going to the admin menu settings page (admin/config/administration/admin_menu) and checking the "Move local tasks into menu" option. For users gien access to the admin menu, you should remove access to the ...

This html looks ok, but did you include the core/drupal.dialog.ajax js library that attach event to your link ? In twig : {{ attach_library('core/drupal.dialog.ajax') }} In PHP, it looks like this : $renderArray = [ '#title' => t('All Topics'), '#type' => 'link', '#url' => Url::fromRoute('XXX'), '#...

You're trying to trigger your modal in multiple ways. Right now your twig is saying to open the href in a modal, but your controller is not return html, it's returning a json/ajax response to open its content in a modal. To fix this you should do one of the following: Update your twig to just point to the link, don't do anything there to trigger a modal. ...

for me that submits the node: (function (window, Drupal, $) { Drupal.behaviors.drafter = { attach: function attach(context) { var button = $('#edit-submit'); var newbutton = button.clone().prop('id', 'edit-submit-drafter'); var confirmationDialog = Drupal.dialog('#drafter-elements', { resizable: false, closeOnEscape: ...

Modals in Drupal are built with jQuery UI. If you want to add just some class to the modal window, you can make use of the dialogClass option. <a href="/node/11" class="use-ajax" data-dialog-type="modal" data-dialog-options="{&quot;dialogClass&quot;:&quot;foobar&quot;}">Click me</a> or \Drupal\Core\Link::createFromRoute(t(...

To show a whole page content in a overlay(popup), use overlay_path module. Install the module and in configuration u include the url of the page you need to show as an overlay(popup).

2

You need to specify more precise which html elements of the destination page (the page containing the event) should be rendered. i guess changing the id selector to #content .content will do the job.

In general, all links can be excluded from being processed by the Overlay module. Just add a CSS class named overlay-exclude to the class attribute of the link. That has also solved my target attribute issue: I agree to the site’s <a class="overlay-exclude" href="../../node/5" target="_blank">Terms of Use</a>.

I think that the best way to go is jQuery. Create new block with text that you want to show Using CSS, set block position that you want Set display:none; for that block Add jQuery script in your block (or implement on some other way). Script should looks something like: jQuery("#logo").hover( function () { jQuery("#blockId").fadeIn(); /...

First of all, make sure that the user that is trying to use the overlay has the appropriate permissions to do so (the permission is called: "Access the administrative overlay"). If you are trying to add/edit content as admin, then that's not the problem. Also, make sure that in admin/appearance page, the option "Use the administration theme when editing or ...

The technical reason it's not doing anything is that the value is retrieved as a string and not as a Function object. You shouldn't pass anonymous functions in data attributes. This would require whatever implements the callback (jQuery UI/Bootstrap) property to use eval() or some other sort of method to evaluate the callback. This, of course, has major ...

You shouldn't do queries like like that. You should use EntityQuery. See https://api.drupal.org/api/drupal/core%21lib%21Drupal%21Core%21Entity%21Query%21QueryInterface.php/function/QueryInterface%3A%3Acondition/8.8.x and EntityFieldQuery to search Content Type for text and select matching Nodes EntityQuery will return the nids. Then use the node storage's ...

You can trigger Ajax in custom javascript. See How to Trigger Existing, Non-Form Ajax from JavaScript Event In your case an Ajax dialog: var ajaxSettings = { url: '/node/1', dialogType: 'modal', dialog: { width: 400 }, }; var myAjaxObject = Drupal.ajax(ajaxSettings); myAjaxObject.execute();

2

Ah, I just figured out from core/misc/dialog/dialog.ajax.js that I need wrapper with class form-actions. <div class="form-actions"> <a href="mailto:test@example.com" class="button">Send email</a> </div>

It turns out the code above was working fine -- the problem was that the site was using a Bootstrap subtheme, and Bootstrap was configured to override the standard dialog behavior. Turning off Bootstrap's dialogs solved the problem, enabling both width and title settings.

I fixed it yay! It was a problem with jquery update. I updated the module to the alpha3 release which adds support for jquery version 1.11 and it works fine now.

1

Yes. How you fix this depends on what you built and what you did. You did not say if you built a Drupal 6 or 7 site. It makes a big difference. You also did not say what mods you made to the settings.php file if any when you uploaded this new site. Your $base_protocol $base_url AND a $conf statement as to HTTPS will need to be properly set - ...

Your question appears to be a variation of Create a simple Text over Image Overlay on Hover with Drupal 7 and Views. If you also install/enable the Link module, the node title shown over the image can be a hyperlink to the node also. Especially this part in it seems to be what you're looking for (be it with some minor variations): Create a view 'Overlay'....

Sounds like there is a JavaScript error in your nmost recent changes which is stalling some other scripts. To get your admin interface back temporarily disable the Overlay module (core). http://www.quaaoutlodge.com/admin/modules Then use the browsers developer console to find out where the JavaScript error is. If you've used the jQuery Update module you ...
