@joachim Yeah, git clone, checkout the branch I want, then composer install. You want a git clone of the official repo so that the git indexes matches up when you have tricky applies/rerolls.
What does composer why-not drupal/core:8.8.1 and composer why-not drupal/core:8.8.2 show? Bit I highly suspect it is the webflo/drupal-core-require-dev requirement, as the project is abandoned in favor of drupal/core-recommended.
I am reopening this when I get off mobile. Edit makes it a good question. I am really baffled why that isn’t an IN query, which is how I thought that filter plugin worked.
I'm with @leymannx on this one. The standard pattern in core update hooks is to do a COUNT() query (or similar) to initialize, and then load the items in each batch with a ->range() query. Personally, I think the timeout approach is fragile.
Are you doing any other initialization, or just adding the script? BigPipe requires the JSAPI (eg, attach behaviors) to be used properly for things to work.
@donquixote I have never done this, but I think all of the components are split out on Packagist in the drupal/core-* requirements. Try composer require drupal/core-render and see what you get.
@HardikPatel Your original post was essentially a link only answer. For module recommendations, we typically ask that people include a short snippet about the module (the module description can be good) except for ones that are very common, and a little about how the module can solve the problem. We also ask that people disclose their connections to modules, blog posts, etc. Self-promotion (within reason) is OK, just let everyone know. I edited the post for a head start for you, but add any more details that you feel would help.
@donquixote Yes and no. Weight will always come first. Alphabetical is done by the system as a sort (in Drupal 7, see module_implements() and module_list() ; forget where it is in Drupal 8). But, hook_module_implements_alter() can mess with those. In other words, when the alphabetical part happens, it is deterministic because core does the sort.
