Symfony's getQueryString method doesn't return modified query parameters
Drupal uses Symfony so I would say yes. The method is owned by Symfony technically. I had to patch a Drupal contib module for this which is why I posted here.

Specifically the problem is that the getQueryString method on the request object does not use the modified query parameters.

If you know of other solutions to get the modified query parameters feel free to post here, I dug into this for a while and that was all I could find.
