Unable to interact with a CKEditor_link hook
I'm not 100% sure but check last comment drupal.org/node/2101293#comment-7921275 it says "these hooks can only be implemented by the module that "owns" the types" so if type is defined not in your module, the hook is not going to be called. you could try using function node_ckeditor_link_node_revert(). If it is not used in any other module, it should work, of course it is not very good solution.

Deciphering Views SQL
whenever you use table name in mysql you can create alias for it. check this link: dev.mysql.com/doc/refman/5.7/en/join.html "A table reference can be aliased using tbl_name AS alias_name or tbl_name alias_name". also this link explains how aliases can be used both for tables and columns: mysqltutorial.org/mysql-alias. In both links you can see that it is MySql syntax which allows to "name" join. I think it is similar with other SQL systems

Difference between .info files hook_menu() file key?
I'm not sure if you understood it 100%, because from your comment I understand that if you use class in menu hook it will be autoloaded, but it is not. if you use classes as menu callback you still need to take care how classes are loaded. 3 ways to do that: 1. you give the path where class is in menu callback. 2. you put file path of the class inside .info file. 3. you use xautoload, that modules automatically loads classes which are defined in PSR-0 standard way

How to wrap a whole view in a tpl file?
I dont think cache clear works for views. In views->advanced->theme you have to rescan templates. Only then it works, this is message: Important! When adding, removing, or renaming template files, it is necessary to make Drupal aware of the changes by making it rescan the files on your system. By clicking this button you clear Drupal's theme registry and thereby trigger this rescanning process. The highlighted templates above will then reflect the new state of your system.
